Life threatening tunnel

08012010698
The fact that I manage capture this picture with my mobile phone while driving, this tells you how stubborn these illegal vehicles can be. They refuse to reverse and continue to endanger your life. Some of them pretend that they did not see the sign, some act innocent, some are apologetic, and some just ignore your presence.  This single way traffic implementation had not only caused the traffic to be slower (since most of us cross the tunnel will slow down, as we are expecting cars from opposite direction, and the vision is blocked by bushes) but also endangered lives.

Can’t we get the traffic police to come and meet their summon quota? ;P

  • DnJ

Just a suggestion. Possible to get the Car Registration number posted here? So that their friends and neighbours would remind them.

Shaming these “shameless” traffic offenders will never work.
Still think the best deterent is a CCTV camera for police to compound them.It only hurts when they have to pay.

P/s. I encounter “head-on” with 3 traffic offenders for the third time yesterday. No choice, have to give way to them…3 cars against 1 car.

Yeah, I think if I free later I would go to a nearby balai to inform the police so they can have a summon spree. This people are really stubborn.

The motorcycle lane is no longer passable for vehicles as overnight, two barriers were put up at each end. This leaves only 1 lane for out-going traffic. It will be interesting to watch what happens this evening when cars try to enter the only lane from the opposite end.

  • KelvinCSC

Seriously I still think they shall swap the lane. Motorcycle is not using their own lane, they are using the car lanes. I wonder who did the study and decision on such arrangement.

Dun think our police will be much help and the offenders will normally get away by offering bribes. Those numb skulls will continue to use the road for their own convenience and put other peoples life at risk. Sigh….

  • KelvinCSC

Doesn’t matter the police issue summons or they take bribe. Both ways, the offenders still need to pay. Sort of very expensive toll for them. After few times they wont use la. Imagine each time to save 1-2km travel, have to pay RM 30. It will be the most expensive toll ever. LOL.

I still prefer the tunnel to be 2 ways as before but it’s still not right to offend the traffic rules

today i still see somebody go to the wrong directions… very dangerous tunnel… and the people is too stubborn… those people wan to die… doesnt matter.. but dun gamble other people life…

  • I met with a near-happened accident. The best part was the driver even scolded me for blocking his way.

Fardell, that driver was very lucky that it wasn’t me in your car. I would have given him hell.

Even today there are 1/2 baked idiots who refuse to follow the NO ENTRY signs. I drove on as if they were invisible and enjoyed seeing them swerve to avoid my car.

With this original 2-way traffic turned into 1-way, a lot of people who have been here before did not realize it has become 1 way. Some friends who came visiting said they “missed” the signboard. Thus an extra 2 km is added to our weekdays routine. Sigh!
    Can it be revert?

I witnessed something incredulous yesterday afternoon. There were several cars ahead of me about to enter the tunnel when a white MYVi came from opposite direction ran right smack in front of a police car 2 cars ahead of me. And what did the police do?? Absolutely NOTHING!! Just drove on!! I was so disgusted. This is the quality of our ‘law-enforcers’…sigh! There is no hope for us law-abiders. Slowly, society will go in the direction of “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” mentality.

  • leeyk

I’m not surprised; their behaviour is contributing to the increasing no. of neighbourhoods putting up barricades. Don’t be surprised next time that MyVi becomes a blue and white Proton. I love to take a pic and send to Star to claim RM50!

Next time, post the Myvi’s registration number here.

  • KelvinCSC

I still see many idiots driving thru the tunnel on the wrong direction. Some of them really drive big cars too. I’m tempted to borrow my friend’s old junk to ram into those luxury cars and get insurance claims to make the old junks repainted and refitted with new head lights, bumper and bonnet. This might teach them an expensive lesson. LOL. Anyway just a evil thought!

On hindsight, wish I had taken photo of the police car meeting with the MyVi PLUS the registration plate of the police car to post here.
