Ara Damansara

Dear Ara Damansarians,

We work extremely hard to save just enough money to make a down payment for our dream homes. After a very long day, we look forward to retreat to our sanctuary to relax and to spend time with our love ones. For some of us, this is our retirement home.

We are not a selfish lot. All we want is a peaceful community where we live in harmony with our neighbours near and far.

In just a few short weeks, we are shocked to learn of plans of massively high density developments in our neighbourhood.

Project No. 1

Plans to build 3 blocks of high rise buildings of 11, 13 and 14 storeys next to Stesyen Petronas along Jalan PJU 1A/20

Project No. 2

Plans to build 6 blocks of high rise buildings of 15 storeys comprising of 780 units, 1 block of 12 storeys of 180 units and one block of 4 storey at the corner of Jalan PJU 1A/3 and 1A/20

Project No. 3

Plans to build 2 blocks of high rise buildings of 27 storeys comprising of 828 units along Jalan PJU 1A/41

We are not against development. All we are asking for is a fair deal. We want and expect property developers to be socially responsible. Develop by all means but don’t only look at the big fat dollars. Be a good corporate citizen and look at mitigating problems you will introduce to the neighbourhood with your development projects.

If these developments are to take place in its present form, we expect massive traffic jams, indiscriminate parking and other social problems.

Therefore, we are appealing to all Ara Damansarians to come forward to show your support to this signature campaign against high density developments in our neighbourhood. Signature forms are being distributed to all heads of RA today.

Please contact your area representative and ask when you can drop by to sign the form. Our target is to have a minimum of 1000 signatures and we need the signature forms back by Tuesday August 24th. We plan to submit our letter to MBPJ on Thursday August 26th.
